Papa John's Pizza now in the Philippines!

Angel’s family and I were looking for a place to dine, one Sunday evening. We passed by Galleria and I told them that I wanted to try Papa John’s Pizza because of the good things I have been hearing about it, too bad though we are going to Megamall.

When we arrived to Megamall, it was to my surprised that they already opened Papa John’s there. So problem solved. We were of course in line because of the several people who want to also eat at Papa John’s. The place is a bit small and “masikip” children can’t really run around the area.

Filipino Food for me is one of the best cuisines there is. It is everybody’s comfort food and I’m always excited to try out new Filipino dishes. Leftover rice can still be fried the next morning and the leftover adobo can magically be another new dish for the next meal. I love how the Filipinos turn something into a whole new thing, you can always count on how resourceful and creative they are.

Patio Carlito, a house turned restaurant is another new invention in the Filipino cuisine scene. What was once a family house owned by Governor Barretto of Zambales, is now a home of Filipino comfort food. The posh and stylish restaurant is another concept by The Red Crab Group of Restaurants. I was not able to take good pictures of the place because there was an event, the night I was invited to taste their delectable dishes, but I can tell that the place is no ordinary restaurant. The place has the vintage feel that can be seen thru its walls, lighting, wall decors and even the pictures here and there. The house turned bistro also has its parts now used as private function rooms, such as TV Room, Piano Room and the Bar Room. 

During our bloggers dinner, we stayed in the Bar Room which has glass walls that overlooks the bar or the WhiteHouse on the 84^th – the adjoining bar during evenings.

I have never seen so many Filipino dishes that night, and I couldn’t have guessed how chef and the rest of the kitchen staff prepared so mouth-watering dishes for us. Prepare to feast your eyes on what was served to us during that night.

Green Lantern Kreme Doughnut

I just got home from the press screening of Green Lantern and boy was it awesome! Awesome like the newest Kreme Doughnut offering of Krispy Kreme! 

The Green Lantern Kreme Doughnut is made of rich chocolate dough, smothered with Hershey's Milk Chocolate icing, doused with confectioner's sugar and topped with a dollop of green jelly - translation remarkably scrumptious!

Chatime Pearl Milk Tea

I found a new tea place, it was recommended by friends who also share the same passion for Milk Teas. Mom brought me one today. Perfect to end my day, since I'm not feeling well.

I like the cute cover, it's adorable to look at. Gives you the feeling of something delighting once you sip.

This is Roasted Milk Tea, p100. I love the taste of my drink. I love their Milk, it reminded me of the time when I was a kid mom forced me to drink milk in the morning and before I go to sleep. Now she won't need to force me, just bring me one from Chatime :) They also serve a generous amount of pearl and its yummy! You also have the option to choose the degree of sweetness to put in your drink.

Always a Feast in Blackbeard's Seafood Island

This is a super late post. I have been so busy lately that’s why I haven’t had the time to sit down and reminisce the feast we had celebrated at Blackbeard’s Seafood Island.

The name says it all, you will feast on the best seafood dishes in town, you name it, they have it. From fish, to shrimps, to mussels and even to crabs! We were informed that we will have a sumptuous lunch, we were not informed that it would be this spectacular.

We were greeted by a very colorful place and ambiance. The interiors let’s you feel you are in an island and your stay will be exciting. The staff is also very accommodating, from the moment we arrived until we left the place.
