Bakersville Hand-made Bagels

It was my mom and dad who introduced me to eating bread in the morning, since then I love hot pandesal with butter and a hot cup of coffee for my breakfast. Breads nowadays is more than just Pandesal, I recently tried a hand-made Bagel given to me by a friend. I was given two packs, one plain Bagel and the other one, topped with black and white poppy seeds. 

The instruction that was given to me by my friend is to re-heat it in the toaster instead of microwave. I love the crispy and a bit salty exterior of the Bagel and the soft and chewy interior. I even place butter and garlic powder on my second plain bagel and loved it even more. I wish I tried jam or cream cheese or even ham and cheese! I will do it next time. 

Bakersville Bagel is found in Mercato Centrale, and costs p100 per pack. I believe that delicious and healthy food is always worth your money. The same goes for this Bagel.

Great Dole Cook-Off

My love for eating caused me to start this food blog and hopefully start learning how to cook too. My cooking skills though are limited only to frying, sautéing and boiling. I can prepare simple meals with the help of cooking books and online recipes. Just recently, I attended an event in that does not only teach me valuable lessons about cooking, but also lessons on food and its nutrition, Magsaysay Institute for Hospitality and Culinary Arts or MIHCA is the hosted the place for the event.

The Great Dole Cook Off is a launch of the Dole Philippines Tomato Sauce. Dole, being the world’s largest producer and marketer of highly fresh fruits and vegetables and packaged foods, has committed itself to further health and nutrition in their wide array of quality products such as canned pineapple solids, canned mixed fruits, canned beverages and packaged fruit snacks.

 In line with a decade of celebration of great pizza, Yellow Cab invited bloggers and introduced Fonterra Brands Philippines, Yellow Cab’s source of dairy products that they include in their great pizza and pasta.

There were two chefs from Fonterra that was invited to give a little talk about their products and their service to Yellow Cab. I learned the different kind of cheese and I somehow picked up how to make cheese, the natural way.

 My family uses Anchor Butter all the time and it’s perfect with the dishes mom prepares for us. We grew up with Anchor Butter in our fridge. And now that Anchor has culinary cream, my mom will definitely enjoy preparing food for us because of the wide us of cream.We were told that the cheese used in Yellow Cab's Pizza is from Fonterra also.
