What is Bibingka?

Bibingka is a Philippine rice cake that is usually eaten during Christmas season. This is usually being sold in wooden kiosk outside church. Bibingka is usually paired with Puto Bumbong, glutinous rice cooked in bamboo tubes and colored with purple coloring. During Simbang Gabi in the Philippines, these two delicacies sell like pancakes as early as 4 o’clock in the morning.

Today you don’t need to wait for the Christmas season to taste them because there is already ANTONIO’S Coffee + Bibingka, this is actually the first store that I know that made Bibingka available to people who shop every day at malls.

The new The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® shop in One Archer’s Place on Fidel Reyes St. near De La Salle University (DLSU) just opened it's doors today to its first customers, serving everyone with their full selection of internationally-acclaimed signature blends and gourmet treats and dishes. 


“Manila is a good market for us,” shares Walden Chu, President of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®. “A place that’s right in the center of a burgeoning coffee culture in the country, this new branch will not only compliment the busy lifestyle of people in the area, it will also make it easier for more to enjoy the specialty drinks that our brand is known for.”

In line with its debut, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® branch in One Archer’s Place will be holding a special promotion that will coincide with DLSU’s 100th year celebration. During the promo period that will run from its opening day till February 05, 2012, customers can come to the store from 12:30 to 1:30 in the afternoon and purchase any of their favorite drinks for only Php 100.

This breakfast set offer a very tasty fried slices of marinated beef tapa that is perfect with your choice of egg and cucumber-tomato side dish. The beff tapa is very tender and tasty, I love it!

 

 

Marinated Boneless Bangus - P150

This Filipino classic breakfast is served by Figaro the healthy way. The boneless bangus is marinated and cooked to perfection for all seafood lovers to enjoy. Perfect with the cucumber-tomato sidings.
