Ibayo by Barrio Fiesta

Tired of the usual Filipino dishes? Well, brace yourself for a new bistro style restaurant that offers your favorite Filipino dishes with a modern bistro twist.

I was invited to feast and not just dine in Ibayo by Barrio Fiesta last June 20, 2010. It was a night full of mouthwatering Filipino dishes that brings out the Filipino in you. I wasn't able to bring a camera thus presenting you with some not so clear pictures of what was served on our table.

Take a look at what was served.

Ibayo White Adobo

A different take on Philippine's most popular dish. The best chicken and pork adobo cooked san the soy sauce.

Bicol Express, P160

Ibayo Black Rice

Bulalo Steak, p280

Crispy Catfish, p199

Crispy Pata, p480

The dish that made them famous. Deep fried pork knuckle cooked the Barrio Fiesta way.

Kare Kare, p220 (regular) p350 (family)

Tender Oxtail and tripe stewed in creamy peanut sauce. A true pinoy fiesta is not complete without it.
Ginataang Kuhol

Tortang Talong

Mama Chit's Special

A feast in a bilao as how our beloved Mama Chit would prepare it.
A Mini Fiesta in itself.

Seafood Platter

Ibayo Sunset

One of Ibayo's signature drinks, a sweet and refreshing fusion of mango, pineapple, orange, rum and grenadine that warms up the mood.

The dessert is not to miss also. After the hefty meal that was served we had difficulty trying to figure our what dessert to get. After a few minutes we ordered almost all :)

Turon ala Mode
Chilled Buko Salad

Maja

Puto Bumbong

Yes you read it right! It's always christmas season as they serve Puto Bumbong, i think they also serve Bibingka :)

Giant Halo Halo

Avoado Shake, p105

There are still dishes left untaste at Ibayo. Ibayo which literally means "the next town, sa kabilang ibayo" was a concept by brothers Tyrone and Tristan Ongpauco, third generation members of the Barrio Fiesta Restaurant Chain clan. Ibayo transfoms from a casual dining atmosphere to a "chillax" place that escalates into an ultimate night-out, let-your-hair-down experience.
