Starbucks Introduces TRENTA

If Venti is still not enough for you, then you are in for a treat! Starting May 3, Starbucks will release their newest drink size TRENTA in selected states in the US. For the mean time here in the Philippines, we'll have to wait how the launch goes until we can experience TRENTA too. The TRENTA size with the volume 916 ml is said to be larger than the capacity of the human stomach. But I bet coffee addicts can take that regardless of the comparison :p

Peri-Peri Chicken

Looking for a place to eat has always been our problem, specially if we tried almost all the restaurants in the mall :) Yesterday, Angel and I, together with Nathan had our dinner at Peri-Peri Chicken in SM North Edsa Annex. Nathan wanted chicken and Angel, because if his slight headache wanted something hot to sip. I remembered Peri-Peri Soup and drinks promo so we decided to settle there.

Nathan and I order the Combo A - 1/4 Peri Chicken, Rice and a generous amount of gravy. The Chicken is big enough for me and Nathan, thus the faces. The Chicken taste good and a bit exotic, we tried the Lemon and Garlic flavor, despite it being charcoal grilled it doesn't taste like it's grilled. It's very tasty and marinated just right. Peri Peri Chicken is trimmed of excess fat, marinated 24 hours and charcoal grilled that's why it's extremely healthy and delicious.

Angel ordered Combo B - 1/2 Peri Chicken, Rice and Gracy (P235) We upgraded the rice to Java rice and the chicken flavor he chose is Mild and Spicy. The other flavor we did not try was Hot and Spicy (if i'm not mistaken) Just like the flavor it was the spiciness of the chicken was mild and it goes well with the gravy. Nathan loved the gravy.

On top of our order we availed of the Soup and Beverage All You Can for only p49. You must avail a classic chicken meal, just like the ones we had and pay additional p49 and then you can have all the soup and drinks in the place. 

You have two choices for the soup, Mushroom and Corn Soup and as for the drinks, choose between Green Ice Tea, Lemon Ice Tea and Dalandan Ice Tea, or you can try them all. They even have hot coffee or tea, im just not sure if it's included in the promo.  

 Happy faces because of the food and the service. The place is well lit and gives you the feel you're in another place, an exotic place, because of the wall photos and even the color. It's close to orange, I like! Though there are many customers, the waiters are very friendly and is fast in out requests.

Ocean's Surf Buffet at Marriott Cafe

Bloggers turned divers feasted into an entire buffet of ocean treasures at the Ocean's Surf Buffet at Marriot Cafe last friday night. It was a gastronomic dinner to end the a stressful week for me as I dived into an array of fresh seafood and meat choices. Yumm!

Seafood appetizer buffet are irresistable line up of fresh starters on ice such as rock lobster, oysters, clams, shrimp, and seafood salad.

Japanese Section offers fresh selection of sushi and sashimi, Nori and California Rolls with condiments and side. Try the tempura, choose from Veggi, Prawn, Fish and even Salmon! 

Steamed or Grilled? It's up to you. The wide range of seafood is prepared blanched if you want them grilled or cooked in shell fish broth. I had mine cooked with shell fish broth, it was sour just the way i like it!

If you don't fancy steamed or grilled, you can choose also from the cooked seafood dishes. They have prawns, crabs and mixed seafood.

The dessert section never runs out of decadent cake, Italian ice cream and fruits in season that you can dip in their gushing chocolate fountain. I am now craving for sweets as of this moment.

This welcome drink sure makes us thirsty for more! It's a mixture of soda, water and 7UP, perfect to quench the thirst!

Ocean’s Surf will be available every Friday and Saturday dinner at PHP 1,750nett for adults and PHP 875nett for children. Children below 12 get in for half the price while children below 6 get in for free!

Yoshinoya's Chicken Teriyaki

I am on tipid mode at the start of the year because, madaming gastos last holiday and so before I watched Tanging Ina I decided to have dinner first. I rummaged thru my wallet and check my budget for dinner, I was gonna go again with the P39 Jollibee Burger Steak when I realized I still have GC's :) Hooray for GC's it saves you from spending. I order Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl because it cost P100, exactly the amount of my GC.

I had all the chicken and veggies separated from the rice.

It was last September 2010 that I learned that SNR has Starbucks Ice Cream. The first two flavors were Mocha Frapuccino and Vanilla Bean Frapuccino.

Now they have two more new flavors, I saw them awhile ago at SNR Munoz. The now have Java Chip Frapuccino and Signature Chocolate.
